Jesus said, "If you deny me before others, I will deny you before my Father." Christians should make the case that to be caused to deny Christ, which is a contingency of the Christian Faith, is to deny the freedom of religion..not just the freedom of expression or speech. Praying in Christ's name does not do physical harm to any person, and it does not infringe upon another person in the same meeting from concluding their prayers in a different manner.

Even a Muslim could speak out loud, if he or she chose, and conclude, "in Allah's Name", and then a Jew could continue in like manner and say, "In G-d's Name"... or however they choose to conclude their prayers... or, they could choose not to pray at all during the time of prayer... an atheist could even take that moment to silently figure their monthly electric bill, or how many miles they had driven to get to the meeting.. or how to get back at the God whom they don't believe in! Let people pray... this is what freedom is about.

We have a very interfaith family, Jewish, Christian, and Muslim. We never have a problem with prayer or with worshiping together. We all recognize that we each want to relate to God and we each want to be the best that we can be...and our faith leads us and informs us...

I share that to say that the issue with the ACLU is not about faith, or the rights of others, it is about control... it all about micro managing and causing disruption and creating confusion and chaos. It is about causing disharmony and distrust and dysfunction. It has nothing to do with creating "liberty and freedom for all"!

I agree with Ernest. Our nation is in the mess it is because Christians sit back and won't get involved in our political system. If every Christian would get involved, vote for and support politicians with Christian values our Nation would be a better Nation today. Do not those who are trying so hard to supress Christianity in our Nation realize that our Nation was founded on Christian principles. They should study our history and see that our forefathers consulted with and depended on wisdom from Almighty God. Do they not realize that all the blessings and protection we have experienced in the past have come from God. Those judges who say it's alright to mention God in prayer but not Jesus Christ are ignorant of the fact that God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit are one and the same. I don't understand it but we all accept things everyday by faith that we don't understand.
As Ernest said, "Christians need to fall on their faces before God and pray for this Nation."

This is part of the 1973 Humanist Manifesto II, does no one stop and think that the Constitution say freedom of religion no freedom from relegion. It states that the government will not chose a religion as the nations relegion. God help our nation if it stands for another 50 years. Christians need to fall on their faces before God and pray for this nation.

The ACLU never stops, they are trying to choke off any and all mention of Jesus Christ, the Yadkin County commissioners sold out and in essence said,"we will not have the name of Jesus mentioned at any of our meetings. Many people have died that we could have the freedom to pray "in Jesus name". Give us some men and women with a backbone like a saw log,and the grace of Jesus Christ over flowing in their souls.

The price of Freedom requires a constant vigil, no one enslaves another without first giving up apart of their own freedom. Is this court denying us the right of free speach?? It must be if it is telling us we can not pray in Christ name.
