Decorated trees, yule logs, miseltoe, etc.. are pagan and druid in origin. The ONLY parts of a Christian Xmas, are the manger, hymns, and going to church. Observe only these and your focus should be clear. Buying presents have nothing to do with any biblical precident. And the holidays have nothing to do with the current economy. Simply put, the economy has cycles just like the seasons. If you hide your nuts like the squrrel you can survive many winters.
